Catalog companies consistently have excess and closeouts to sell typically by the pallet or even truckload. Think about it….Large catalog companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars putting together an array of merchandise yearly or even by the season to mail out to their client base. Many if not all catalog companies now have a online presence selling merchandise. Whether it is apparel, electronics or other hard goods each product has a life span. “Out with the old, in with the new” is the philosophy maintained by marketing savvy companies. This years models become your entrepreneurial dream late in the season as merchandise can be purchased at amazing prices. Many catalog companies will sell closeout (new undamaged) or customer returned merchandise. Be sure to ask for clarification as to how merchandise is sold.
It takes a little persistence getting in contact with the person in charge of liquidation. We suggest you find the company your are interested in buying from and then call and get in contact with the corporate office. Once you have that phone number call and ask who or what department is in charge of selling closeouts and/or customer returned merchandise. Most all companies will have a minimum purchase requirement so do not expect to call up and purchase $200 worth of merchandise. It is not uncommon for companies to require a minimum purchase of at least $3,000 - $4,000.00 in merchandise before they will even deal with you. The great part about buying closeouts from a catalog company is most of the time you can view the manifest (Detailed product offering) prior to purchase! Be advised payment will be required in advance and usually in the form of a bank wire transfer. Most of the time you the buyer will have to arrange all aspects of shipping for your purchase.
