Selling Closeout Merchandise on Amazon.com

Many of our dedicated followers here at The Closeout Industry sell merchandise through several different channels, Ebay being one of the platforms. If you have read through this blog you will recall on several occasions that I have recomended being creative when selling closeouts and diversifying sales channels. Amazon.com offers a selling venue much like Ebay, but different in several ways. One of the major differences between the two is simply listing fees. Amazon does not charge a fee to list a product. If your item doesn’t sell you do not pay. Try that one on Ebay.

There are thousands of sellers on Amazon.com who are selling overstocks, closeouts and excess merchandise. Many of the successful Amazon sellers used to sell on Ebay, but left the auction giant for various reasons.

Steve Lindhorst, an ebay University Instructor, has written a book called Selling on The River which is packed with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions to get you started on Amazon. You’ll also get tips and advice, screenshots, explanations of terms, and a couple of video tutorials.
