Big question with EBay is, how many of these surplus deals go into escrow? Is it a dollar value determination, e.g. if the dollar value is over, say, $500, #2,000, $5,000, etc.?
With 9 of 10 escrow sites on the Net being phonies, I would think great care would have to be exercised before relying much on EBay for sales.
There are few deals on Ebay that use an escrow service. And, to be honest most if not all pallet and truckload transactions outside of Ebay are simply…”Pay and hope the merchandise arrives”. You can always charge back a credit card transaction, but a Wire Transfer is a “done deal”. Your best defense…investigate the company you are buying from before you send your hard earned dollar.
